Energy as a Service
A Smarter Approach to Renewable Energy Investment
SunPeak Solar Solutions Ltd. is developing Energy as a Service solutions that help organisations access renewable energy infrastructure through innovative commercial models, reducing upfront capital requirements while supporting long term sustainability.
What is EaaS?
Energy as a Service — A Fundamentally Different Commercial Approach
Lower Upfront Investment
Energy as a Service removes the need for organisations to finance large capital equipment purchases — renewable energy infrastructure is provided as a service, with costs structured around ongoing energy delivery.
Predictable Energy Planning
EaaS structures replace unpredictable utility bills with structured service arrangements, supporting better long term energy cost planning and operational budgeting for commercial organisations.
Renewable Energy Infrastructure
Clients gain access to modern solar PV, battery storage, and smart energy management systems as part of the service — without taking on direct equipment ownership, maintenance risk, or technology obsolescence.
Performance-Based Partnerships
EaaS aligns the interests of the energy provider and the client — SunPeak is incentivised to ensure systems perform reliably over the long term, creating a genuine partnership rather than a one-off transaction.
Operational Efficiency
With monitoring, maintenance, and performance management handled as part of the service, clients can focus on their core operations while benefiting from reliable, modern renewable energy systems.
How It Works
The EaaS Development Process
STEP 01
Energy Assessment
Understanding existing energy consumption, grid conditions, and operational requirements
STEP 02
Solution Design
Technical design of solar, storage, and monitoring systems tailored to the client's site and objectives
STEP 03
Commercial Structure
Developing the EaaS commercial agreement, service terms, and long term partnership framework
STEP 04
Implementation
EPC partners install and commission solar, battery, and monitoring infrastructure at the client's facility
STEP 05
Monitoring
Ongoing digital monitoring of system performance, energy production, storage status, and consumption data
STEP 06
Long Term Support
Continued partnership — maintenance coordination, performance reviews, and system optimisation over the full service period
Core Components
What a SunPeak EaaS Solution Includes
Solar PV
Commercial and utility-scale solar photovoltaic systems providing the primary renewable generation source, sized to meet the client's specific energy consumption profile and site conditions.
Battery Energy Storage
Advanced BESS systems that store solar-generated electricity, improve grid independence, manage peak demand, and ensure continued power supply during grid outages or low-generation periods.
Energy Monitoring
Digital monitoring platforms providing real-time visibility of energy generation, storage status, consumption patterns, and system performance — enabling proactive management and continuous optimisation.
Microgrids
Where appropriate, microgrid configurations that combine solar, battery storage, and intelligent control systems into a locally managed energy network capable of operating independently from the main grid.
Smart Controls
Intelligent energy management systems that optimise when and how energy is generated, stored, and used — balancing solar production, battery dispatch, and grid interaction to maximise efficiency and resilience.
Operations Support
Ongoing technical coordination and maintenance support that keeps systems performing reliably throughout the service period — removing operational burden from the client and ensuring long term performance.
Benefits
Why Organisations Consider the EaaS Model
Reduced Capital Burden
Renewable energy infrastructure is provided as part of the service arrangement, reducing the need for large upfront capital expenditure and preserving organisational resources for core business activities.
Predictable Energy Planning
Structured service arrangements support more consistent and predictable energy cost planning, helping organisations manage long term operational budgets more effectively than traditional utility dependency.
Improved Energy Resilience
Solar generation combined with battery storage reduces dependence on the main grid, improving operational resilience against outages, voltage instability, and the high fuel costs associated with diesel generation in the Caribbean.
Sustainability Goals
EaaS supports corporate and institutional sustainability commitments by enabling measurable reductions in carbon emissions through renewable energy use, without requiring direct investment in asset ownership.
Operational Reliability
Maintenance, monitoring, and performance management are handled as part of the service — clients benefit from consistently maintained systems without the complexity of managing specialist energy infrastructure in-house.
Long Term Partnership
EaaS creates an aligned long term relationship between SunPeak and the client — we are invested in system performance and client satisfaction throughout the entire service period, not just at the point of sale.

Building a Caribbean EaaS Framework Through Collaboration
SunPeak is building an Energy as a Service framework specifically designed for Caribbean markets — recognising that the region's island economies, grid constraints, high energy costs, and ambitious renewable energy targets create a compelling context for service-based renewable energy models.
This framework is being developed in collaboration with technology partners, engineering specialists, financial institutions, commercial clients, and government stakeholders who share the belief that renewable energy should be accessible to Caribbean organisations without prohibitive capital barriers.
Our vision is not to deploy a single product, but to build a platform — one that evolves with the region's needs, scales across multiple markets and sectors, and creates long term value for the communities and organisations it serves.
The SunPeak EaaS framework is currently in development. This page describes our strategic direction and vision — it does not represent a currently deployed or fully operational commercial product.
